FCC Radiation Exposure Statement: This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits
set forth for an uncontrolled environment.
Information To The OEM Integrator
This module is approved only for OEM integration in qualified laptop and tablet computers and
must not be co-located or transmit simultaneouslywith any other antenna or transmitter. The
grantee is responsible for ensuring all OEM implementations satisfy RF exposure and other
conditions for the compliance to all the rules that apply to the product into which this certified RF
module is integrated. Additional testing and certification are necessary when all conditions are not
satisfied. For all products market in US, OEM has to limit the operation channels in CH1 to CH13
for 2.4GHz band by supplied firmware programming tool. OEM shall not supply any tool or info
to the end-user regarding to Regulatory Domain change. The OEM should also inform the end
users that operations in the 5.15-5.25GHz band are restricted to indoor usage only.
For FCC Part 15.31 (h) and (k): The host manufacturer is responsible for additional testing to
verify compliance as a composite system. When testing the host device for compliance with Part
15 Subpart B, the host manufacturer is required to show compliance with Part 15 Subpart B while
the transmitter module(s) are installed and operating. The modules should be transmitting and the
evaluation should confirm that the module’s intentional emissions are compliant (i.e.
fundamental and out of band emissions). The host manufacturer must verify that there are no
additional unintentional emissions other than what is permitted in Part 15 Subpart B or emissions
are complaint with the transmitter(s) rule(s).
For RF Exposure requirements: The host manufacturer must also verify that the module continues
to comply with the FCC RF exposure limits. Preliminary assessment is normally required to
determine if Class I or Class II permissive change requirements apply.
Antenna Information:
Only the same or equivalent-type antennas as shown below may be used with this module. Other
un-equivalent-type antennas may require additional authorization for operation. The equivalent-
type means the same antenna type that results in similar in-band and out-of-band radiation patterns.
