Introduction
This guide assists owners of Redback Inverters to diagnose and remedy simple communication errors. This guide includes:

• Communication failure cause and remedies
• Soft resetting your Redback Inverter
• Hard resetting your inverter
• Reconfiguring your Wi-Fi connection
Application
This guide applies to the following products:
• Redback Smart Hybrid Inverter SH4600
• Redback Smart Hybrid Inverter SH5000
SH4600 and SH5000 are quite similar in operation, with slight differences in the layout of controls.
Tools and information required
• Smart Phone or Tablet with internet access and Redback Energy app (from your app store)
• Your Wi-Fi network name and password (not required if your inverter is connected by ethernet)
• Your Redback Portal login details
• No special tools are required
