System Overview
The REF TEK 130-GPS clock which is shown below, is capable of providing both time and position
information, serially, for host systems in the REF TEK 130 Series Data Acquisition System family.
Each 130-GPS is a self-contained unit. The unit is designed around the receiver module. The
receiver board is based on either the Garmin™ unit. The antenna is mounted on the inside top
of the case and the whole unit is situated so that the antenna has clear overhead exposure. A
single interface connector is located at one end of the case. The 130-GPS can be powered by 12
VDC from the host system and supplies the time and position information serially to the host
system together with a 1 Hertz pulse.
