inertia reel. Hold by the buckle to
make this easier.
– Ensure that no ob-
jects are placed in the
area around the seat
belt latch as they could prevent
it from being properly secured.
– Make sure the seat belt latch
is properly positioned (it should
not be hidden away, crushed or
flattened by people or objects).
Seat belt reminder
light(Driver/Front Passenger
seats)
Depending on the vehicle, It
lights up when the ignition is ON and
if the driver/front passenger (if seat-
ed) seat belt is not fastened, the light
flashes and a beep sounds for about
2 minutes when the vehicle reaches
a speed of approximately 20 Km/h
and above.

Rear seat belt reminder

The

strument panel in below two states,
This informs the driver fastening
status of each of the rear seat belts
every time:
– the ignition is switched on;
– Status of fastening or unfastening
of a rear seat belt.
Understanding the graphic

– indicator filled: seatbelt fastened;
– indicator unfilled: seatbelt unfas-
tened;
Depending on the vehicle, the 6 sym-
bol appears when the ignition is
switched ON, if a rear seat belt is
buckled state to unbuckled state or
any state change. When the vehicle
speed is less than approximately 12
mph (20 km/h), the 6 symbol appears
for at least 65 seconds.
When the vehicle speed reaches or
exceeds 12 mph (20 km/h), if one of
the rear seat belts is or becomes un-
fastened during the journey:
– a beep is emitted for 35 seconds ;
and
– the
6
symbol is displayed for at
least 65 seconds and the symbol for
the seat concerned changes to un-
filled.
Always make sure that the rear pas-
sengers are properly fastened in
and that the number of seat belts in-
dicated corresponds to the number
of rear seats occupied.
