CHILD SAFETY (continued)
X : Seat not suitable for fitting child seats.
U : Seat which allows child seats with Universal approval to be attached by seat belt; check that it can be fitted.
IUF: Seat allowing a forward facing child seat with universal type approval to be fitted with ISOFIX fixings; check that it can be
fitted.
IL : Seat allowing a forward facing child seat with “Semi-universal” or “Specific to RENAULT vehicles” type approval to be fitted with
ISOFIX fixings; check that it can be fitted.
Refer to the “Child safety equipment” booklet available from the dealer network to choose the seat suited to your child
and recommended for your vehicle.
(2) The size of the child seat with
ISOFIX fixings is indicated by the ü logo followed by a letter (A, B, B1, C, D, E, F, G).
(3) It is recommended that you position the vehicle seat as far back as possible with the seatback reclined at an angle of approxi-
mately 25° (if adjustable).
(4) Before installing a child seat, it is recommended that the rear seat be as far back as possible, ensuring, if required, that the
floor support of the child seat is resting on the floor in accordance with the child seat instructions. Position the headrest in the
top position or remove it.
(5) A carrycot can be installed across the vehicle and will take up two seats. Position the child with his or her feet nearest the
door.
(6) Move the vehicle’s front seat forward as far as possible to install the child seat, then move it back as close as possible without
bringing it into contact with the child seat.
(7) Place the back of the child seat against the vehicle seatback; adjust the headrest height or remove it if necessary.
(8) For the child’s safety, do not push the front seat more than halfway back on its runners and do not recline the seatback more
than 25°.
