Charging Your External Battery for the Stellar™150
Keep the battery connected to the charger and
charging at all times. Make sure the charger is
plugged into a properly grounded 3 prong electrical
outlet. Always disconnect the battery from the
charger before connecting to your respiratory
device. Prior to disconnecting the battery from the
charger, unplug the charger from the electrical
outlet for safety.
Locate the battery Hubbell connector (white end) and
the charger Hubbell connector (black end with red and
black wiring)
Connect the battery to the charger making sure to
“twist” lock the connectors together clockwise. Test
that the connections are firmly attached by pulling on
the connectors. They should remain attached. Plug
the red plug from the charger into a properly
grounded 3-prong electrical outlet.
When charging, the yellow LED will flash to indicate the battery is in the
charging state. This light will go off and the green on LED will come on to
indicate the battery is charged. Keep the battery connected at all times to
the charger, plugged in, to ensure a fully charged battery when it is
needed. Once fully charged, the charger will automatically go into
“hibernation” mode, keeping the battery charged by checking the charge
every 24 hours and charging the battery if needed.

Continuous Charging and Safety

Keep battery connected to charger and plugged into grounded outlet. Disconnect battery before device connection.

Identify Battery and Charger Connectors

Locate the white Hubbell connector on the battery and the black connector on the charger.

Connect and Plug In Charger

Twist-lock connectors together. Plug charger into a properly grounded 3-prong electrical outlet.

Monitor Charging Status and Hibernation

Yellow LED flashes during charging. Green LED indicates charged. Charger enters hibernation mode.

Connecting Your Stellar™150 to Your External Battery

AC Power Indicator

Green AC LED indicates power to the Stellar™150 under normal operation.

External Battery Power Status

Battery LED illuminates when using external battery. 'Internal Battery in Use!' message shown.

Alarm Notification and Battery Level

Alarm LED and tone indicate power loss. Battery icon shows charge level.

Connecting the External Battery Cables

Prepare and Connect Cable

Assemble cables if needed. Connect black Hubbell connector to white Hubbell connector clockwise.

Auxiliary Power Connector

Ensure auxiliary power connector toggle switch is in the ON (I) position.

Connect to Device Power Inlet

Insert connector firmly into the DC power inlet at the back of the device.

Using and Disconnecting the External Battery

Low Internal Battery Alerts

Alerts for 30% and 15% internal battery capacity. Connect external battery if needed.

Resuming Therapy After Power Loss

Requires mains power or external battery. Restart therapy using the main power switch.

Disconnecting and Recharging

Disconnect external battery when mains power returns. Reconnect to charger.
