Heat quantity measurement with xed ow rate value
The heat quantity balancing (estimation) uses the difference between the ow and
return temperatures and the entered ow rate (at 100 % pump speed).
Î Adjust 1 in the channel FTYPE.
Î Read the ow rate (l/min) and adjust it in the FMAX channel.
Î Adjust the antifreeze type and concentration of the heat transfer uid in the
channels MEDT and MED%.
Note:
Heat quantity measurement with a xed ow rate value is not possible in
systems with 2 solar pumps.
Antifreeze type:
0 : Water
1 : Propylene glycol
2 : Ethylene glycol
3 : Tyfocor

Heat quantity measurement with V40 owmeter:
The heat quantity measurement uses the difference between the ow and return
temperatures and the ow rate transmitted by the owmeter.
Î Adjust 2 in the channel FTYPE.
Î In the channel FIMP, adjust the impulse rate corresponding to the V40 ow-
meter used.
Î Adjust the antifreeze type and concentration of the heat transfer uid in the
channels MEDT and MED%.
Heat quantity measurement with Grundfos Direct Sensor
TM
:
The heat quantity measurement uses the difference between ow and return tem-
perature and the ow rate transmitted by the VFS sensor.
Î Adjust 3 in the channel FTYPE.
Î Adjust the antifreeze type and concentration of the heat transfer uid in the
channels MEDT and MED%.
Note:
If variant 3 is selected, the sensors must rst be activated in the GFDS
menu item (see page 64).

HQM sensors
If the ow rate detection type 1, 2, or 3 (owmeter, V40, or Grundfos Direct
Sensor
TM
VFS) has been adjusted, the ow and the return sensor for heat quantity
measurement can be selected.
Î In the channel SFHQM select the ow sensor.
Î In the channel SRHQM select the return sensor.
For this function, free sensors at an appropriate position can be selected.
