PRECAUTIONS
Obsee the following precautions to prevent re, personal inju, and transceiver damage.
• Do not attempt to congure the transceiver while driving; as it is too dangerous.
• Do not transmit with high output power for extended periods. The transceiver may overheat.
• Do not disassemble or modify the transceiver for any reason.
• Do not expose the transceiver to long periods of direct sunlight, nor place it near heating appliances.
• Do not place the transceiver in excessively dusty, humid, or wet areas, or on unstable suaces.
• If an abnormal odor or smoke is detected coming from the transceiver, switch the
transceiver power o immediately, and contact Retevis customer seice or your dealer.
• Using the transceiver while you are driving may be against trac laws. Please check and obsee the
vehicle regulations in your area.
Before using this two way radio,please read the manual which contains impoant operating
instructions for safe usage, RF Energy Awareness, control information and operational
instructions for compliance with RF Energy Exposure limits inapplicable national and

WARNING
The transceiver is designed for a 13.8 V DC (±15%) power source! Never use
a 24 V batte to power the transceiver. Check the batte polarity and
voltage of the vehicle before installing the transceiver.
CAUTION
Do not cut or remove the fuse holder on the DC power cable. Improper connections or current surges may
cause smoke or re.
For passenger safety, install the transceiver securely using the supplied mounting bracket and screw set so
the transceiver will not break loose in the event of a collision.
Various electronic equipment in your vehicle may malfunction if they are not properly protected from the
radio frequency energy that is present while transmitting.
