Tests 8 - 11
Components will be “Live” when conducting tests, exercise caution.
Test 8 – Ambient air thermistor
Test 9 – Flame rod
Normal operating resistance is 6.3 kilo ohms at
20 ºC and 12.5 kilo ohms at 5 ºC between 11
Blue and 9 Black
Conduct test with water flowing.
Measure the voltage between Earth and
connectors J & K plugged into PCB. Normal
voltage is between AC1 and 170V.
Test 10 – PGFR Valve
Test 11 – Gas inlet solenoid
Conduct test with water flowing
Measure the voltage with connector I plugged into
PCB between 5 Black and 6 Red
Measure the resistance with connector I unplugged
from the PCB between 5 Black and 6 Red
Conduct test with water flowing
Measure the voltage with connector I
plugged into PCB between 11 Black and 12
Yellow
Measure the resistance with connector I
unplugged from the PCB between 11 Black
and 12 Yellow
