Why are the blade bolts on my RHINO FC-0007 working loose?
    • J
      Judith HodgeAug 14, 2025
If your RHINO Lawn Mower blades are working loose, make sure the bolts are tightened to 300 ft./lbs. If the bolt hole is elongated or oversized, you should replace the blade carrier. Also, a worn-out locknut can be the culprit, so replace it if needed.

What to do if my RHINO FC-0007 is not cutting grass properly?
    • B
      Brianna WardAug 20, 2025
If your RHINO Lawn Mower isn't cutting effectively, several factors could be at play. Start by sharpening or replacing dull blades. Ensure the carrier RPM is correct by using the proper PTO speed and verifying the gearbox ratio. If the cutter isn't level, consult the section on Cutting Height Adjustment. Also, consider whether the tractor tires are mashing down the grass; if so, reverse your cutting direction and drive with the right tractor tire out of the cutter overlap area. If conditions are too wet, reduce ground speed by shifting to a lower gear. Make sure the blades are not locked back; free them if necessary. Replace blade bolts if they are worn or loose, causing the blades to ride up. Lower the cutting height as much as possible. If blades wear fast, increase the cutting height.

Why is my RHINO FC-0007 gearbox leaking oil?
    • S
      Sabrina SmithAug 25, 2025
If your RHINO Lawn Mower gearbox is leaking, the problem could be due to several reasons. A damaged oil seal is a common cause, so replace the seal. If the shaft is bent, replace both the oil seal and the shaft. A rough oil seal race should be addressed by replacing the shaft or repairing the race. Ensure the oil seal is installed correctly, and if it's not sealing in the housing, replace it or use a sealant on the O.D. of the seal. Also, check that the oil level isn't too high and drain it to the proper level if needed. Damaged gaskets should be replaced, and loose bolts should be tightened. In rare cases, a sand hole in the casting may be the cause, requiring replacement of the castings or gearbox.

    Taylor GloverAug 27, 2025
Why is my RHINO FC-0007 gearbox so noisy?
    • J
      Jennifer HenryAug 27, 2025
If your RHINO Lawn Mower gearbox is making excessive noise, start by checking the lubricant level and adding more if it's low. Rough gears may need to be run in or changed. A worn bearing will need to be replaced.

How to prevent streaking when cutting with my RHINO FC-0007 Lawn Mower?
    • M
      Margaret FoxAug 30, 2025
Streaking during cutting with your RHINO Lawn Mower can occur due to several reasons. If conditions are too wet, allow the grass to dry before cutting. If the blades are too slow to cut at your tractor's ground speed (but the engine is at full PTO rpm), lowering the cutting height may help. Dull blades should be sharpened or replaced. Also, ensure the cutter height is even at the rear and front; consult the Cutting Height Instructions for adjustment.

What causes my RHINO Lawn Mower gearbox to overheat?
    • E
      Erica ThomasSep 3, 2025
If your RHINO Lawn Mower gearbox is overheating, first check the lubricant level and fill to the level plug if low. If the lubricant type is incorrect, replace it with the proper type. Remove any excessive trash build-up around the gearbox. If the bearing or gears are set up improperly, consult your dealer.

Why does the shear pin keep shearing on my RHINO Lawn Mower?
    • D
      Dylan MorrisSep 6, 2025
Shear pin shearing on your RHINO Lawn Mower can be caused by several factors. Ensure the tractor PTO is running at 540 RPM. Reduce ground speed if you're cutting heavy material. Only use the recommended shear pin for replacement. Engage the PTO at idle engine RPM. Increase cutting height in rocky conditions. Check gearbox ratios if the blade carrier RPM is too high. If blades are not properly heat treated, consult your dealer.

How to reduce rapid clevis wear on my RHINO FC-0007?
    • H
      Harry BrownSep 9, 2025
Rapid clevis wear on your RHINO Lawn Mower can be minimized by ensuring washers are installed above and below the drawbar. Use a 3/4” gr5 or 8 bolt and tighten the nut securely. Add an attaching plate to all 3-Point drawbars if the tongue is bending or binding in turns.

Why is my RHINO FC-0007 Lawn Mower vibrating excessively?
    • T
      Tina MurphyNov 16, 2025
Excessive vibration in your RHINO Lawn Mower can stem from several causes. Start by checking the gearbox bolts and nuts on the bladeholder and blades, tightening them if loose. Inspect the output shaft for bending and replace it if necessary. Ensure the blades swing freely and that each blade tip has even wear, with weight differences within 1 oz. Always replace both blades simultaneously. Other potential issues include a broken blade (replace blades in a set), a bent blade carrier (replace the carrier), or the blade hub not properly seated on the shaft (remove, inspect the tapered spline, clean, and replace). Also, avoid mixing new and worn blades or bolts; replace them in sets. Finally, check if the drivelines are phased correctly (replace if not) and ensure implement and tractor yokes a...
