  The Ricoh Copier might fail to detect the original size due to several reasons. It may be caused by improper placement of the original. To resolve this, manually select the paper instead of using the Auto Paper Select function, and avoid using the Auto Reduce/Enlarge function. Another reason could be that the original is not placed at all, so ensure your originals are placed correctly. Also, place the original on the exposure glass. If you are using a non-standard original, input both the horizontal and vertical sizes.
