      Diana BeckerAug 6, 2025
The engine may fail to start because the engine switch is in the off position (move it to start), the fuel valve lever is OFF (move it to ON), there is no fuel in the tank (fill the tank), the spark plug is shorted or fouled (replace it), the spark plug is broken (replace it), the ignition lead wire is shorted, broken, or disconnected from the spark plug (replace or attach it), the ignition is inoperative (contact authorized service center), or the lubricant level is low (add lubricant).

    • J
      Jessica SandersAug 21, 2025
If the pump isn’t producing pressure, it could be due to a low-pressure nozzle being installed (replace with a high-pressure nozzle), an inadequate water supply (provide adequate water flow), trigger handle leaks (check connections and/or replace the trigger wand), a clogged nozzle (clean the nozzle), a faulty pump (contact authorized service center), or air in the line (squeeze the trigger to remove air).

Why my RIDGID Pressure Washer machine doesn’t reach high pressure?
    • D
      Diana RiceAug 27, 2025
Your machine may not reach high pressure if the diameter of the garden hose is too small (replace with a 3/4 in. garden hose), the water supply is restricted (check garden hose for kinks, leaks, and blockages), there is not enough inlet water (open water source fully), the wrong nozzle is attached (attach high pressure nozzle), or there is not enough power (increase throttle).

    • J
      John HernandezAug 30, 2025
If detergent fails to mix with the spray, it could be because the detergent injection hose is not properly submerged (insert the hose into the detergent container), a high-pressure nozzle is attached (use Dual Power Soap Nozzle to apply detergent), the injection hose is clogged or kinked (remove and replace the hose), or the chemical injector is clogged (clean or replace the injector).
