Ilmor MV8 engines are fully supported by the TechMate Pro. Introduced in
2010, Ilmor’s MV8 engine line-up is equipped with a 3 connector ECM mod-
ule as shown in Figure 11 above. is module was a direct replacement for the
GM-Delphi MEFI-5 modules used on some early MV8 engines.
e TechMate Pro scan tool oers an extensive set of diagnostic functions when
connected to MV8 equipped engines.. Connecting the scan tool requires adapter
#94029 (CAN Network Adapter) as shown in the photo at the bottom of this
page.
Diagnostic functions for Ilmor MV8 ECM modules are identical to those de-
scribed in the Volvo Penta EGC section of this manual. Please refer to page 21
for a comprehensive description of the available functions.
