4E - INCUBATION OF THE EGGS OF ANSERIFORMS (GOOSE, DUCK, ETC.)
From day 9 of incubation to three days prior the foreseen hatching date, once a day unplug the incubator,
remove the lid and let the eggs cool for 15-20 minutes, based on the day of incubation (the closer to hatching,
the longer it will take for cooling). Before putting the lid back on, spray the cooled eggs with water (preferably
demineralized) of the same temperature as the incubator.
4F - INCUBATION OF EGGS OF OTHER EXOTIC SPECIES
For the correct incubation of exotic poultry species please refer to the following table, keeping in mind that
incubation times vary according to the species, as well as sexual maturity. For more specic information on
particular species, it is advisable to consult appropriate texts.
Attention: consult the CITES regulations before proceeding with the incubation of exotic species. The incubation
time is indicative. It is recommended to leave the incubator working for 2-3 days longer than indicated, in order
to allow latecomers to hatch.
