C. Theflippersareblockingthebatterydoor.
1:Theflippersneedtobemovedawayfromthebatterydoor.Normallythefront
flippersarelooserightoutofthebox.Ifthefrontflippers(thosebythefrontglass
andthreelenses)arelockedintoplace,placeakneeonthefrontoftherobot(on
topofthefrontpayloadport)andpullbothflippersintandemtowardyou.ItisOK
toapplysomeforce.Repeatfortherearsetofflippersifnecessary.Dothisin
tandemuntiltheflipperspopandmovefreelyorareoutofthewayofthebattery
door.
D. Therobothastroubleclimbingstairs.
1:Therobotisnotmeanttoclimbstairsatfullspeed.SwitchtoLowSpeedMode
(Seepage14)whileclimbingstairs.
2:Afterclimbingthefirststep,makesurethefrontflippersarepositionedas
thoughflatagainsttheground.Holddowntheflippercontrolknobuntilflippers
areflat.
3:Therobotmayhavedifficultyclimbingcertainkindsofstairs(slipperymetal
stairsandthosewithslickedgeswhenwet).Dryofftherobotandattemptagain.
4:Therobotwillnotbeabletoclimbupthefirststepiftheflippersarenot
manipulatedcorrectly.Toclimbstairs,puttherobotinlowgear.Positionthe
frontflipperssothatthetipoftheflipperswillbeabovetheleadingedgeofthe
firststair.Slowlyapproachthe
firststairuntilthefrontflippersaretouchingthe
leadingedgeofthefirststep,andthenlowerthefrontflippers,liftingthefrontof
therobot,untiltheflippersareina"flat"position.Nowslowlydrivetherobotup
thestairs.
5:Somestairsaretoosteepfortherobottoclimb.AsetofHighAngleStabilizers
camewithyourrobot.Theycanalsobepurchasedseparately.Theyaretohelp
climbespeciallysteepsetsofstairsandtallerobjects.ContactRoboteXformore
information.
E. Afterremovingtherobotfromthecase,theControllerdoes
notturnon.
1:TheControllerloseschargewhenleftsittingunusedforalongperiodoftime;it
mayhavefullydischargedinshipmentoraftersittingunusedinthecase.Try
rechargingtheControllerfor2or3hoursbeforeusingitagain.Thecontrolleris
