Do you have a question about the Robur TS 2000 and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The Robur TS 2000 is an individual natural gas/LPG natural draught gas-fired convector designed for heating rooms. It operates with a sealed combustion chamber and balanced natural draught, ensuring that combustion air is drawn from outside the installation room and flue gases are exhausted outside, preventing any leakage of combustion products into the heated space. This design eliminates the need for ventilation openings in the room where the appliance is installed, enhancing safety.

Function Description:

The TS 2000 functions by drawing room air from the bottom, heating it as it passes through the gas-fired convector, and then diffusing the warm air into the room through the upper grille. This convective motion ensures efficient heat distribution. The appliance is designed for installation on an external perimeter wall, as it utilizes coaxial pipes (Ø100/60 mm) for both combustion air intake and flue gas exhaust, which must extend outside the building. The operation is fully automatic, controlled by a thermostatic knob that allows the user to set the desired room temperature after an initial ignition. A flame detection device, using a thermocouple, automatically interrupts the gas supply in case of an accidental shutdown, further enhancing safety.

    • G30 (nominal): 0.15 kg/h
    • G31 (nominal): 0.15 kg/h
  • Gas Connection: 3/8" thread, located on the right, at the bottom.
  • Flue Gas Exhaust:
    • Type of installation: C11
    • Diameter (Ø): 60/100 mm (flue gas exhaust Ø 60 mm, air intake Ø 100 mm)
    • Residual head: 0 Pa
    • Maximum pipe length: 50 cm
    • Minimum wall thickness: 150 mm
    • Maximum wall thickness: 500 mm
  • Dimensions:
    • Width: 480 mm
    • Height: 577 mm
    • Depth: 170 mm
  • Weight (in operation): 17 kg
  • Gas Supply Pressure (static and dynamic): Must comply with specified values (e.g., 20 mbar for G20, 30 mbar for G30, 37 mbar for G31, 50 mbar for G30/G31) with a tolerance of ±15%. Maximum gas supply pressure is 50 mbar.
  • Burner Gas Pressure (Nominal Heat Input):
    • G20: 16.2 mbar
    • G30: 29.0 mbar
    • G31: 37.0 mbar
  • Burner Gas Pressure (Minimal Heat Input):

    • At minimum heat output: 85.8%
  • Auxiliary Electricity Consumption: 0.000 kW (at nominal, minimum, and standby)
  • Room Temperature Control: With mechanical thermostat room temperature control (yes).

Usage Features:

  • Ease of Use: The appliance's operation is simplified by thermostatic regulation. Users only need to perform the initial ignition and set the desired temperature using the control knob.
  • Safety: The sealed combustion chamber prevents combustion products from entering the room. A thermocouple-based flame detection system ensures gas supply is cut off if the pilot flame extinguishes.
  • Ignition: To switch on, users open the gas valve, turn the control knob to the ignition position (marked with a star), press the knob fully, and then press the piezoelectric igniter button. The knob should be held for a few seconds until the pilot flame remains lit.
  • Temperature Control: The control knob allows users to adjust the room temperature, with position 7 corresponding to the highest temperature and position 1 to the lowest. The knob's indications are purely indicative, and the actual room temperature depends on the installation environment.
  • Switch-off: To switch off, turn the control knob to the "switching off" position (marked with a dot). For prolonged periods of inactivity, the gas valve should also be closed.
  • Gas Type Conversion: The appliance can be converted between natural gas (G20) and LPG (G30/G31) using a supplied gas change kit, a procedure that must be performed by a Technical Assistance Centre (TAC).

Maintenance Features:

  • Routine Maintenance: The only user-required maintenance is cleaning the outer casing when the appliance is cold and without solvents, and periodically removing dust from the heat exchanger.
  • Professional Checks: A periodic (annual) check and cleaning by a TAC is recommended to ensure efficiency and good operation.
  • Internal Operations: Any operations on internal components, including repairs and adjustments, must be exclusively performed by a Robur TAC using original spare parts.
  • Safety Precautions: Before any maintenance, the appliance must be switched off, allowed to cool down, and the gas supply disconnected.
  • Compliance: Maintenance must adhere to manufacturer's instructions and current regulations.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides guidance for common malfunctions, such as no ignition spark, pilot burner not igniting, pilot burner igniting but not staying lit, or insufficient room comfort. Users are advised to check basic conditions like gas supply before contacting a TAC.
  • Warranty: The warranty may be voided by incorrect installation, misuse, failure to comply with instructions, alterations, extreme operational conditions, damages from external agents (salts, chlorine, sulfur, etc.), abnormal system actions, or accidental damages.
