Environmental harm Two types of waste solution are discharged from this
analyzer, concentrated waste solution and dilute waste
solution. Improper disposal may contaminate the
environment. Waste must be treated in accordance with
the relevant laws and regulations.
r Concentrated waste solution contains high
concentrations of reaction solution, so appropriate
disposal is required.
r Disposal of objects that have come in contact with
infectious liquids, for example reaction cells, should
be done properly in accordance with the safety
management rules of the facility, as well as the
instructions given by the facility’s personnel in charge
of handling infectious medical wastes.
r Dispose of waste in accordance with the local laws
and regulations. Any substances contained in
reagents, calibrators, and controls must be disposed
of according to the relevant water discharge facility
regulations.
r Contact the reagent manufacturer for information
about the concentration of heavy metals and other
toxic constituents of reagents, or for legal regulations
on water discharge.
r Any substances contained in reagents, calibrators,
and quality controls, which are legally regulated for
environmental protection, must be disposed of
according to the relevant water discharge facility
