INTERFACE
Even if
the optional Memory Cartridge
is not avail-
able, the TR-707's Tape Interface allows
the Tracks
written into
memory to be stored
on
tape (=Save).
This saving,
however,
requires
much more
compli-
cated procedure than that
by memory
cartridge.

Saving
First of all, connect the tape recorder and the composer
as
shown below.

Set
your tape recorder ready
to record using the
Pause key
if
you
have one.

Start the tape
recorder.
If
your tape recorder features
a
recording level
meter,
set
it on +
3VU, and if featuring
a signal
indicator, make sure
that signal
is being received.

While
holding
the
Shift Key down, press the Save
(Main Key
14),
then
the
Enter.
The Display will respond with

that
it
is now
in saving mode.

For
about
7
seconds after the
Enter
Key is
pressed, the Pilot
tone
is
heard
then it
is
followed
by
the modulated
tone which carries
the
data,
in
the
Display Window,
the
dots on the
line of
Hi-Tom
light from the
1st step
to
right
showing
the
progress of the saving
during
which all
indi-
cators
go out.
When
the lighting
reaches
up to
14th step,
the Display
and indicators
go back to
the normal
condition.
