Auto Modes (A-2, A-1, AUTO, A+1, A+2)
• Use AUTO if you are unsure.
• Use A+2 for a high key eect, resulting in brighter images with
increased highlights.
• Use A-2 for a low key eect, resulting in darker images with
enhanced grain.
Unlike digital photography, 35mm lm photography oers a wide
latitude, allowing it to handle underexposure of approximately 2 to 3
stops and overexposure of up to 6 stops (depending on the specic lm
used).
Both color and B&W lm can tolerate a range of exposure variations
without signicantly compromising the quality of the nal image.
