Assigning the SFP Type
Once the SFP module is installed in an AUX port, you must specify the port type using the options
on the SFP Configuration page. Keep the following in mind:
• The Flex slot in the ULTRIX-FR5 does not support any I/O in the AUX ports.
• The AUX C and AUX D ports on the ULTRIX-MODX-IO are reserved for future use.
To specify the SFP type for an AUX Port on the blade
1. Expand the Devices node.
2. Expand the Controllers + Matrices node.
3. Double-click the node for your Ultrix router.
The Device Configuration interface opens.
4. Select .
The SFP Configuration page opens with the AUX Ports tab automatically selected.
5. From the Slots table, select each router slot that houses an ULTRIX-MODX-IO blade.
The right pane of the tab updates to display a list of available ports based on the slot(s) selected.
