3.5 First start up of the machine
After installation, the authorised staff responsible for
installing the machine will perform one or more start
ups and complete operating cycles, beginning with the
simpler machine functions and performing different
tests until a check has been made of all the machine
operating functions.
4 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
4.1 Precautions for use and training of operating staff
The equipment may only be operated by specially
trained and authorised staff. So that the machine is
used in the best possible way and work can be carried
out efficiently, the staff responsible for the machine
must be properly trained to handle the necessary infor-
mation in order to follow the instructions supplied by
the manufacturer. For any doubts concerning use and
maintenance of the machine, consult the instructions
manual and if necessary, authorized technical service
center or technical service department.
The operator must also observe the following safety
procedures: When the crosspiece is used, the lift
should be placed in park and the main switch turned to
“0” and locked.
- Check that the division of the load is not affected
beyond acceptable limits if parts of the vehicle are
dismantled. - Check that the vehicle is stable on the
support devices as soon as the lift run starts.
- Check that situations of danger to persons or objects
do not arise during rise and descent .
- Stop the machine immediately if any problems in op-
eration are noticed and contact the technical service
department of the authorised dealer.
- Do not tamper with safety devices and apparatus.
- Check that the work area around the machine is free
from potentially dangerous objects and that oil (or
other greasy liquid) has not been spilt on the floor,
causing potential danger to the operator.
- The operator must wear suitable work clothing,
safety goggles, gloves and mask to avoid damage
caused by dust or impurities, dangling objects such
as bracelets or such like must not be worn, long hair
must be tied back, shoes must be suitable for the
work to be done.
Accident prevention regulations provided for by cur-
rent laws should always be respected. The following is
strictly prohibited: Using the crosspieces for purposes
other than those described in this manual
- Lifting persons or animals
- Lifting vehicles with people inside
- Lifting vehicles loaded with potential dangerous
material (explosives, corrosive or inflammable sub-
stances, etc.)
Lifting vehicles placed on support points other than
those designated by the vehicle manufacturer.
The manufacturer may not be held responsible for
damage caused by improper, incorrect and unreason-
able use of the machine.
