REAR PANEL
When connecting the amplifier, please be certain to conned the c>orreci inputs to the appropriate left
or right (R, L) channels from your preamplifier or procassor outputs to avoid incorrect channel
placement during playback of your favorite music orrnovies. if you are using the XIR/Balanced:
Inpuls, pJsasa sv/itch the beck panet selector switch to the BALANCED input settir^g. The SPEAKER
terminals are color coded to help with you make correct connections. The speaker terminals are red
for positive {-r-) ar>d black for negative (-) connections, Most speakers have the same color coding
system for these ccjnnedions, Ptease enauTe these connections are i^rnscl before turning Irie
amplilrer ON for the lirst lime. Incorrect phase cormecfiorrs (amplifier - to speaker ^ in one of Ihe
channels, for example.) wonfjt harm anytJilng but will result En tittle or no bass respoti'Se In your
sysfenr.
The SPEAKER temmafa will accept spade connectors, bare wire or "banana" plugs (Nar> CE mark
countries) for speaker connedicns. Regardless oi the type of speaker wire connection madGn please
check to see that no stray wires are touching between the positive and negative speaker tenrrinals for
each channel. This will cause an internal protection ftrsa to fail, and the amplifier will not play.
Please remember that this is a high-powered amplifier and turn it oft before makrng any changes to
ihe conneclions or unplugging any input cables. This wr.ll avoid any potantral damage to the delicate
iweetars in your speakers Transient sounds may occur when connecting i^r disconnecting Inpul patch
cables if a power amplifier Is on.
