BA ROTEX HPSU compact 4 - 03/2013
2 x Product description
2.1.2 Solar support
If connected to a ROTEX Solaris solar system, the flat solar
panels transform the solar radiation to heat very efficiently. When
the heat carrier medium water reaches a useable temperature, it
is pumped by feed pumps in the control and pump unit (RPS3)
through the solar panels. In the integrated storage tank of the
ROTEX HPSU compact, the solar heat generated in this way is
transferred into the heating and hot water circuit.
2.1.3 Safety management
The total security management of the ROTEX heat pump system
is assumed by the electronic control integrated in the HPSU
compact. in the event of a water shortage, loss of refrigerant or
undefined operating states, a safety switch-off is performed.
A corresponding fault signal provides an engineer with all the
necessary information for troubleshooting.
2.1.4 Electronic control
All settings, displays and modes are made via two controls
integrated in the internal heat pump unit (HPSU compact).
The displays and keypads of both controls offer convenient
operating options.
The fully-electronic digital main control unit HPR1 has an LCD
display and a control field. It automatically regulates all the
heating, cooling, and hot water modes, while controlling the
individual water circuits and the optional backup heater (BUH).
As well as the main control unit HPR1, the electronic additional
control unit HPRA1 also has its own display. It enables a
convenient evaluation of all operating data and the power
settings of the optional additional heaters.
The display and operation of a solar system that has been
connected (e.g. ROTEX Solaris) is carried out using the related
control system for these components (e.g. control and pump unit
RPS3).
