Local radio stations
Reception of most local radio stations is
intentionally limited to a comparatively
small area around the transmitter.
If the radio locates a regional
programme and you would like to
remain tuned to it (limiting the RDS
function), hold the left button below the
RDS display for longer than two seconds.
’REG ON’ is shown in the main display for
approximately 2 seconds:
Once the limit of the reception range is
reached, it is unlikely that the RDS facility
on your radio will be able to locate an
alternative frequency for the local radio
station being received.
If the signal is weak, but no alternative
frequencies are available or you would
like to return the full RDS function, hold
the left button below the RDS display for
longer than two seconds.
’REG OFF’ is shown in the main display for
approximately 2 seconds:
NOTE: If the regional function is
deactivated, ’REG OFF’ appears briefly
in the display each time the radio is
switched on.
