SECURITY CODE INFORMATION
To reduce the risk of theft, this radio/CD
player is programmed with a four digit
security code. Once activated, this code
prevents the unit from functioning if it is
removed from the vehicle.
When the vehicle ignition is switched off,
an LED in the radio flashes to indicate
that theft protection is enabled.
The unit is also protected by a time delay
penalty system to prevent the correct
security code from being found by trial
and error; after the third incorrect input
attempt, the code input procedure is
disabled for one hour.
NOTE: Do not switch off the radio during
this waiting time. The display will show
’CODE WAIT’.
On delivery of the vehicle you were
supplied with a Security Information card.
This card contains a record of the four
digit security code, the model number
and the unit’s unique serial number. The
serial number is also shown on the unit
and, in the event of theft, would confirm
proof of ownership.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you keep a
safe record of the security code and
heed the following advice:

NEVER keep a record of the
security code in the vehicle.
•
If you lose your code number,
contact the nearest dealer, who
will be able to obtain this
information for you.
