This document is an operating manual for the Russell Hobbs RH2TTDW101 Table Top Dishwasher, a compact appliance designed for household use.
Function Description:
The Russell Hobbs RH2TTDW101 is a table-top dishwasher designed to clean tableware efficiently. It offers multiple wash programs tailored for different soil levels and item types, including an ECO program for normal soil, a 1 Hour program for lightly soiled loads, a Rapid Wash for quick cleaning, a Glass program for delicate items, and Fruit Wash (Hot/Cold) and Baby Care programs for specialized cleaning needs. The appliance can be filled with water either by plumbing it into a water connection or by manually filling its internal water tank. Waste water can be drained into a sink, a waste water outlet, or a bucket. The dishwasher incorporates a water softener system that requires regular replenishment of dishwasher salt to prevent mineral and salt buildup, which can negatively impact performance. It also features a steam adding function for sanitization.

Usage Features:
The dishwasher is operated via a control panel with an On/Off button, Program Select button, Function button (Storage, Extra Dry), Delay 1-24 function, and dedicated buttons for Fruit Wash, Baby Care, Steam+, and Start/Pause. A display shows program information and error codes.
- Program Selection: Users can cycle through various wash programs (P1 Eco, P2 1 Hour, P3 Rapid Wash, P4 Glass) using the 'P' button.
- Water Filling: The appliance supports both plumbed water intake and manual filling. For manual filling, the appliance must be switched on, and water is added until it beeps.
- Salt & Water Hardness Adjustment: Before first use, the appliance requires 130g of dishwasher salt and 1 litre of water in the salt container. The water hardness level can be adjusted from H1 to H6 (default H3) through a setting menu accessed by pressing and holding the 'Program' button for 5 seconds within 60 seconds of powering on.
- Loading: The dishwasher is designed for a maximum of 2 place settings. Cutlery should be placed in the provided cutlery tray, and hollow items like cups and bowls should be face down or angled. The bottom basket rack can be laid flat for larger items. Users are advised to scrape off residual food from dishes to maximize performance.
- Detergent Use: Detergent should be added to the appropriate location inside the appliance. Only dishwasher-specific detergent should be used, and the amount should be adjusted for shorter programs or if using tablets, as the appliance uses less detergent than conventional dishwashers.
- Cycle Management: The 'Time Delay' function allows users to schedule wash cycles. Programs can be modified within the first few minutes of a cycle by pressing 'Start/Pause', holding 'P' for 3 seconds, selecting a new program, and then pressing 'Start/Pause' again.
- Drying: After a cycle, the appliance beeps for 8 seconds. Opening the door for 30 minutes after a cycle is recommended to assist in drying.
- Forced Drain Cycle: In standby mode, a drain cycle can be forced by pressing and holding the 'Baby Care' and 'Steam+' buttons for 3 seconds.
Maintenance Features:
Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for optimal performance and longevity.
- Filter Cleaning: The filters should be cleaned after every cycle. They can be removed by twisting anti-clockwise and lifting, then cleaned with warm running water and a soft brush.
- Internal Cleaning: The inside surfaces and door should be wiped down with warm water and a damp cloth every cycle to prevent grime buildup.
- Spray Arm Cleaning: The spray arms can be removed by gently pulling them from the centre. They should be washed under running water and replaced, ensuring they spin freely.
- Salt Replenishment: The water softener (dishwasher salt) must be replenished regularly to maintain its softening function. The Salt Warning light may remain illuminated for 2-6 days after refilling. Only dishwasher-specific salt should be used.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive problem-solving guide for common issues such as the appliance not turning on, water not draining, excess bubbles, white residue, dishes not being clean, leaks, knocking noises, and cloudiness on glassware. Error codes (E1, E3, E4, Ed) are also listed with their corresponding issues and recommended actions, often advising contact with a qualified technician for complex problems.
The appliance is designed with safety in mind, emphasizing the importance of proper installation, electrical safety (earthed socket, correct voltage, no extension cables), and water safety (new hoses, correct water pressure, no kinks). It is also highlighted that the ECO program is the most efficient in terms of combined energy and water consumption, aligning with EU ecodesign legislation. Pre-rinsing of tableware is not recommended to save water and energy. The manual encourages the use of phosphate-free and chlorine-free detergents containing enzymes for environmental benefits.
