A mobile aerial platform designated
for carrying persons to a place of work
where they have to carry out their jobs
from the working cage.
Operating Staff
Instructed persons, which are at least
18 years old and who are in full pos-
session of their physical and intellec-
tual ability and who are also in pos-
session of the required driving licence.
They are also responsible for putting
the mobile aerial platform into opera-
tion, for the operation, for the „daily“
inspection and transport of the mobile
aerial platform.
Basic position
The firmly defined starting position of
the Ruthmann-Steiger. In the basic
position, the operational staff is able
to get into the working cage.
Travelling position
The firmly defined position, in which
the Ruthmann-Steiger is transported
to the place of work.
Boom
The carrying construction which
makes it possible to move the working
cage towards a desired position to be
worked at.
Lifting arm
Telescopic connecting arm (boom
system) between turret and working
cage.
Working cage
(Load suspension device)
The carrying construction, which can
be brought with a load into a working
position from where work can be car-
ried out.
