8 Disassembly and disposal
8.1 Disassembly
The compressed air unit is to be set out of operation and into pressure-free con-
dition. The compressed air unit is safeguarded against unintentional repressuring
and marked by a sign Work on compressed air unit“. Additionally also the elec-
trical system is to be set out of operation and safeguarded against resetting.
The following steps have to be enforced:
Interrupt the electrical and pneumatic supply lines
Make the pipes and the filter pressure-less and discharge them
Attach the filter securely against slipping at the flanges and prestress lightly
with a suitable and technical proper lifting tool
Loose the flange connections
Lift the filter carefully and pull it out of the piping under observance of ade-
quate safety clearance
8.2 Disposal
After the disassembly a professional disposal of all unusable or not further used
components can take place. The regulations and terms for disposal of compo-
nents of machines, which are valid at the term of disassembly, have ever to be
considered, independent of the following regulations for disposal!
