Protective gloves must be worn at all times during maintenance and cleaning work.
Maintenance and cleaning work must only be carried out if the engine has been turned off and the spark plug
connector has been removed.
• Never remove the spark plug connector when the motor is running! Risk: Electric shock.
• If the tank has to be emptied, this should be done in the open, and with a cold engine. Take care to ensure that no fuel
is spilt.
For warranty and safety reasons, original replacement parts must be used at all times.

7 PREPARATION
The following parts are included in the packaging for assembly of the mower:
• Mower with preassembled handle
• Collecting bag, collecting bag frame
• Tool bag with the following contents:
– Operator's manual with Declaration of Conformity
– Warranty conditions and Warranty card
– Various fixing parts.
In the unlikely event of a missing part, please contact your dealer.
Opening out the handle (Illustration A1 + E1 + B1 )
– Pull on the handlebar which is collapsed in a Z-shape upwards into place A1 .
– When the top and bottom parts of the handlebar are on the same level, firmly tighten the wing nuts by hand E1.
– On the bottom part of the handlebar, swivel the ends with the toothed fitments towards the back as far as necessary
until they click into the toothed recess on the mower housing B1.
This allows three different handlebar heights to be set.
– Tighten the wing nuts on both sides by hand B1 .
– Insert the cable harness (electro-start) and the throttle cable into the cable guides. This prevents the cable harness or
throttle cable being jammed when the handlebar is folded down E1 .
– Fix the throttle cable on the left lower bar using the shorter cable ties from the tool bag.
CAUTION
When you activate the bar height adjustment, when loosening the wing nuts B1 used to secure the bar bottom to
the housing (only loosen sufficiently to ensure that the bar can be moved freely) and snapping the toothed plastic
adaptations from the cut-out on the housing, it is possible that unintentional upsetting of the bar may occur. In
addition, this may result in crushed points between the bar bottom and the housing. This may result in a risk of
injury!
Handle starter assembly (Illustration D + L1 )
– The safety control bracket (1) on the upper handle (2) must be folded down before the starter cable can be suspended.
– Pull out the starter cable (3) slowly and fit in the starter handle mount (4) with a twist motion.
