Adjusting the cutting height (Illustration I )
Safety instruction!
See table for explanation of symbols page 3
The cutting height is adjusted behing the motor.
Press the grey push button with your thumb and lift or lower the mower handle to bring it into the required position.
Release the push button: the lever now engages in the required cutting height.
The marking on the left of the housing shows the adjusted cutting height.
IMPORTANT
Mowing at the lowest cutting height should only be carried out on level and plane lawns!
Please observe that the lower cutting height settings may only be used for optimal conditions. If you select cutting
height that is too low, the turf can be damaged and under certain circumstances it can even be destroyed.
Besides the cutting height, also the moving speed influences the cutting pattern and collection result. Adapt the
cutting height and moving speed to the grass height to be cut.
Fitting the cable harness (only for electro-start)
Fix the pre-assembled cable harness to the right lower handle using the enclosed longer cable clips in such a way that the
plug can be fitted to the contacts of the starter lock without tension.
Fitting the charged starter battery (only for electro-start) (Figure V1 + U1 )
Place the battery on the battery holder behind the motor from the side, ensuring that the connection cable points to the rear.
Remove the battery cover and M6x120 screws from the tool bag.
Place the cover on the battery (holding the battery at an angle) and fix in place using the two screws V1 .
Connect the battery plug with the counter-plug of the cable form before mowing U1 .
To charge the battery, see section “Charging the starter battery”.
8 BEFORE USING THE LAWNMOWER FOR THE FIRST TIME
Safety instruction!
See table for explanation of symbols page 3
Check that all connections and the spark plug connector are fitted firmly. Tighten the screws if necessary! In particular make
sure that the cutter bar is fitted correctly (see Chapter “Maintenance of the blade”).
The blade attachment screw should always be fitted and tightened by a specialist workshop. If the blade attachment screw is
too tight or too loose, the blade clutch and blade can be damaged or become detached, which can cause severe injury.
Make sure that all safety devices are fitted properly and are not damaged.
Charging the starter battery (only for electro-start)
The starter battery is a maintenance-free dry battery
Prior to the initial start-up, it should be charged with the original charger for approx. 24 hours.
For safety reasons and to avoid battery damage, the battery may only be charged within a building in dry rooms
and not in direct sunlight.
To avoid unnecessary power consumption, disconnect the power plug from the charger after charging and disconnect
the battery from the charger.
Avoid storing discharged batteries for a long time without charging them.
So that your battery is always ready-to-operate, we recommend you always charge the battery for approx. 24 hours
prior to and after each mowing season. Avoid total discharges since this may result in a battery failure.
To prevent unauthorised use of the mower, especially by children, always remove the ignition key and disconnect the
cable which leads from the battery to the starter motor by removing the battery plug from the mating plug of the cable
