Remove compression spring (f),
friction disc (g), drive assembly
(h), and second friction disc.
Carefully take out pulley (i). Take
care not to let the coil spring
under it jump out.
Detach starter cord from pulley.
Take out coil spring by hand.

Lubricate the coil spring and the
pivot pin (k) lightly with Moly-
cote before a sse mbling .
Note:
For clockwi se starting dir e ction ,
insert coil spring as shown in il-
lustration. For anti-clockwise
starting direction insert coil
spring the other way round .
Check if coil spr ing lies flat and
even .
Bend th e e nd of th e s prin g up-
war ds a little.

wind it on, according to th e s tart-
ing direction.
Fit pulley on to pivot pin and
engage th e end of the spring in
the pulley according to the start-
ing directi o n.

osi tion on th e star t er
co rd, knot the end of the cord
a nd pull it into the ha nd l e.
