Lubricate the coil spring with
Molycote before assembling.
Note:
For clockwise starting direction
(B) insert coil spring as shown in
(b),
and for anti - clockwise start-
ing direction (A) as in (a) with the
tubular rivet (collar facing down-
wards).
The first coil of the coil spring
must lie outside the plate (h, Fig.
34),
whereas all other coils must
fit inside.
En sure that coil spring li es per-
fectly even.
Insert spacer ring (n, Fi g. 32).
Insert contact ring (g, Fig. 32) so
that the riveting of the spring
lies snugly in the groove of the
contact ring.

When fitting the pulley, attach
the e nd of the spring to the d riv-
ing pin of the pulley.
Tension pulley /coil spring in di-
rection of cord exit until stop is
encountered. Release coil spring
1 ... 2 turns until the recess for the
soldering ni pple in the pulley
rests near the cord duct of the
hou s ing .
Lubricate the cord lightly with
Molycote before assembling.
Fit rubber grip on to clamping
sleeve, lay double loop of cord
around reta i ner bolt (see Fig 31 )
and secure with clamping sleeve.
Pull retainer bolt into rubber grip
and let s tarter cord run back.

Fit on packing rings, b earer with driving l ever, and ins ert the angled ends of the
driving l evers into the recesses of the pull ey.
Fit friction disc , spring disc, pa · cking rings and retainer ring.
Remove packing rings from unde r the bearer, should the driving le vers not mov e out -
wards when starting.
The bear er sho uld have a tolerance of 0.1 ... 0.2 mm (0.0039 ... 0.0079 in.).
Screw on cover plate (b, Fig. 29) with 4 cylindrical screws M 5 x 12 and washers.
