Screw out 4 recessed head screws
in flywhee l.
Screw in 4 hexagon head scre ws
(1) alternately (with equipments
without gear ring for elec -
tric
starter the 4 staybolts must
be removed before) and press
out flywheel (2) .
Note:
Wh en replacing the magneto
housing of the 6 V 36 W equip-
ment, screw out contact-breake r
hub and i nsert i.t again into the
new housing, as described under
Fig. 53.
Torque: 0.6 ... 0.8 kpm (4.3 ... 5.8 ft.
lb.).

Unscrew reta1nmg strip (2) and
take out cam (1) .
Fill annular groove (3) with hea t-
resis
ting grease and grease cam
support in flywheel.
Insert cam (1), fit retain ing s tr ip
(2) and screw tight with 3 cylin-
der head screws M 4 x 5 and
washers.
Take retaining ring (5 ), flywei gh t
(4) and thrust ring below off
bearing pin.
Grease bearing pin and b ea ring
surface for flyweight in flywheel
with h
eat -resisting grease .
Fit
thrust w as h er (0 .3 mm thick) on b eari ng pin, hang spri ng (6) into pla ce in flyweight .
Fi t flyw eig ht on bearing pin (mu st e ngag e with cam) and sec u re with reta in ing ring (5 ).
Cam and flyweight must always be free-moving .
Note:
On equipments with gear ring for electri c s tart er there are two markings in the
magneto hou sing: "40x" (for 40 W e quipment) a nd "75x" (for 75 W e quipm e nt ).
The flywh ee l sho uld be fi tt ed in such a way that the bor es in the flywh ee l are p erfectly
in line wi th the bo r es in the housing.
On e n gin e wit hout e l ectric star te r, fit appro priat e magn eto hous in g ( see Spare Parts
List) according to equipment (40 W or 75 W) in such a way that the bores in the hous-
ing
ar e perfectly in line with the bores in the flywheel.

D eg r ease 4 Philips sc rews M 6 x 10 with T ri, apply LOCTITE to them and screw them in .
Tightening t
or qu e 0.9 ... 1.1 kpm (6 .5 ... 8.0 ft. lb.).
