Screw off cover plate {b).
Remove retaining ring (g), pack-
ing discs , spring disc, friction
disc, bearer (x) with drive levers
and pack i ng discs.

Pull out cord approx . 50 em (19.7
in.)
and hold the pulley with a
home-made retaining clip (see
adjoining illustration).

Remove retaining · bolt from star-
ter handle a nd op en clamping
slee ve (m) by tapp i ng with ham-
mer . Pull off retaining bolt and
s tart er handl e from s tart er cord .
Remove reta ining cl ip again and
let cord run back completely.
