TAKING DOWN THE ENGINE
Remove all connections from engin e to fram e or unit (cables, electric conn e ct ions etc. ).
Unscr ew exha ust muffler, i. e. manifold and bracket.
Remove the eng i ne and clean thoroughly before taking down.
When giving the e ngine a genera l overhaul , compon e nt s s hould be r emoved in the
sequence
indicated .

intake silencer (1 ).

Pull off impul se pip e (4).
Remove carbur ettor (3).
Remove
insulating sleeves and
insula ti ng flange.
If there is an in take stack be-
tween carbur e tt ar and cy lin de r,

mo ve it only if necessary.
