- Lightly lubricate these components with neutral petrolatum or light
oil:
the nuts,
the links, the connector contacts and all the
components that can be damaged by atmospheric corrosion.
- Put the battery in its usual vertical position.
B. Storage room:
Keep the SAFT 1606-l batteries in a dry and clean room.
C. Temperature conditions:
Keep the batteries at a temperature of -60°C to +6O"C (-76°F to
+140°F). But the best temperature range is between 0 and +30°C (+32'F
and +86"F).
D. Packing
The SAFT 1606-l batteries are usually put in cardboard boxes. For
long storage or sea transportation, we recommend that you put the
batteries in a welded plastic container. In this type of container,
the batteries can be kept for 10 years in the best storage
conditions.
E. Transportation
It is important that you move the nickel-cadmium SAFT 1606-l
batteries in the vertical position. Thus, the containers must be
identified with "TOP" and "BOTTOM" marks that can be read easily.
