  If your Salamander Pumps Water Pump isn't starting, several factors could be at play. Check the power supply, fuse, and circuit breaker to ensure they are functioning correctly. Also, verify that the inlet and outlet connections are plumbed correctly and all valves are open. Insufficient gravity flow, debris under the flow switch, or a float sticking in the outlet could also be the cause. Make sure the inlet filters aren't blocked and that a minimum flow rate of 2l/min is achieved on both the hot and cold water supplies. Clear any debris from the outlet area and ensure the flow switch sits in the lowest position.

Air in the system or the wrong size pump for the system could also be culprits. If there is air in the system, run the system on full hot with the pump switched off (gravity only) for several minutes. Check that the cold water storage and refill rate are adequate. Also, consider reducing the cylinder thermostat setting to a maximum of 60°C or fitting a HWS/TMV if the hot water temperature is set too high.
