How to fix steam releasing around the lid of my Salente Cuco?
    • N
      nielsenmelissaAug 22, 2025
If steam is being released around the rim of the lid during the pressurizing sequence of your Salente Electric Pressure Cooker, it is likely that the Rubber Seal Ring did not form a tight seal when the Lid was locked. Try pressing down firmly on the Lid to allow the Rubber Seal Ring to seal and stop the steam from releasing. If the issue persists, press the KEEP WARM/CANCEL button to release all pressure. Check the Red Float Valve or the Rubber Seal Ring. Ensure the Rubber Seal Ring is clean and smooth. Verify that the Red Float Valve is properly assembled and moves freely. Then, reposition and secure the lid before restarting the cooking process.

If your food is finished cooking and all the pressure is released, but you cannot unlock and open your lid of Salente Electric Pressure Cooker, the Red Float Valve may be stuck in the UP position. Press the KEEP WARM/CANCEL button and make sure all the pressure and steam has been completely released and that the Red Float Valve is no longer in the up position. Gently tap the lid to make it go back down. Then turn the lid clockwise to unlock it. If it is still stuck, unplugging the unit may help.

Why nothing happens when I select a menu button on my Salente Cuco?
    • J
      Joshua CookSep 5, 2025
If, when you choose a Menu Button (ex: SOUP) on your Salente Electric Pressure Cooker, nothing happens, the unit is likely detecting that not enough liquid has been added to your recipe. Make sure the pressure limiting valve is set to Airtight and the Lid is locked securely. Once you have selected the Menu Button, simply leave the unit alone and it will start to heat and build up pressure. Once the unit has built up enough pressure, the display will change to a countdown timer that displays your desired cooking time.

Why is steam coming from the float valve of my Salente Cuco Electric Pressure Cooker?
    • B
      Brooke FitzpatrickSep 7, 2025
If steam is being released from the Red Float Valve area during the pressurizing sequence of your Salente Electric Pressure Cooker, this may happen during the initial start-up and is normal. If it continues for more than 10 minutes, carefully adjust it with tongs or a similar utensil and oven mitt to ensure it is seated properly. This will help settle the lid and valves properly. The pressure will quickly push up on the Float Valve and seal properly to finish the pressurizing sequence.
