IMPORTANT:
The above instructions should be strictly followed. If the discs in the cutter bar rotate
loosely, do not worry about high intersecting axis gear temperature; after long working
time, it may reach as much as 212ºF.
8. DEFECTS AND THEIR REPAIR

Some of knives are missing

Improperly mounted knives
Mount knives strictly as per manual

Adjust inclination strictly acc. to instructions
Improper rpm of tractor engine
Check that the tractor is not operating at
"economy" speed. Set the speed to nominal
depending on the type of machine (540 or
1000 rpm)
Too low working speed
Increase driving speed up to min.
V ≥ 8 km/h
Transmission belts sliding
Springs not tightened enough - adjust these
as per manual
Worn v-belts - replace
Damaged tractor's PTO shaft,
drive not transmitted
Visit service workshop
Soiled or clogged cutter unit
Wash mower thoroughly. Check that nothing
is wound on the disc modules (e.g. strings)
Laid grass
Low mowing on each occasion
Mowing on leg drive - "wave rpm" occurs
Mow at constant rpm
Normal with very short grass or right after long-term rainfall
Mower loses knives
Very hard working conditions, lots of stones
or a lot of cut material
Use knife holders without quick replacement
There’s no possibility for
replace knife
Soiled or clogged cutter unit
Wash mower thoroughly. Check that nothing
is wound on the disc modules (e.g. strings)
Curved or damaged knife mounting lever
Replace the knife mounting lever with a new
one
Safety device is
disintegrated too often with
no distinct reason
Spring found in the safety device is not
enough tensioned
Adjust spring as per manual
Poor condition of lock’s tensioning surface
Replace elements of safety breakaway
device
