SAMBA
REAR DISC MOWER
9. DISASSEMBLY AND WITHDRAWAL FROM USE
9.1. Repair
WARNING!
Before repair and disassembly the mower should be disconnected from the
tractor.
WARNING!
It is forbidden to make any repairs under farming machine, or its individual
components, which is lifted and unprotected against a free fall.
Prior to any repair or service works the mower should be cleaned thoroughly and any grass, dirt or mud
removed.
When repairing the machine, protect it against losing its stability, which in result may crush the operator,
so place the mower on a stable ground and protect its location by means of a protected support leg.
After checking nuts and bolts, proper slack in joints, gears we can assess if the machine is still
serviceable. Carefully check nuts and bolts for adequate torque and the pins for wear. Replace screws,
pegs, v-belts, pins, bushings, discs, knives, knife holders, bearings etc. with new ones if necessary.
Once the machine is repaired perform the following:
make sure that all elements are installed properly,
install the removed guards,
check that all screws and nuts are tightened,
check for proper clearance on pins and gears,
once all the guards are installed, perform a warm-up start to make sure the repaired machine
operates properly.
9.2. Scrapping
When unhitching the machine pay particular attention to dangers involved such as possibility of
crushing or cutting injury. Use special personal protective equipment: gloves, protective clothing,
glasses etc. Pay attention not to let the machine lose its stability and secure it with supports.
If the mower cannot be repaired anymore, it should be withdrawn from use.
To do so, oil from intersecting axis gear and cutter bar should be drained and delivered to a proper
waste treatment company. Clean the mower parts, dismantle and dispose properly of all plastic parts.
After that, the mower can be scrapped.
WARNING!
When unhitching the machine pay particular attention to additional threat such
as crush, cut, wound or concussion. Special protective equipment must be used:
gloves, protective clothing, glasses etc. Pay attention not to allow the machine
lose its stability and therefore protect it with supports.
