1.1 Notes on possible severe personal injury

Risk of bursting in pressure equipment.
Valvesandpipelinesarepressureequipment.Improperopeningcanleadtovalve
components bursting.
Î Observe the maximum permissible pressure for valve and plant.
Î Beforestartinganyworkonthevalve,depressurizeallplantsectionsaffectedas
well as the valve.
Î To prevent uncontrolled excess pressure, make sure that suitable overpressure pro-
tection is installed on site in the plant section.
Î Drain the process medium from all the plant sections affected as well as the valve.
Î Wear personal protective equipment.
