6. Remove the seat retainer (124) from the
body (1). For versions ≥NPS6, a special
SAMSON tool is available (uAB0100).
7. Remove seat (4) and spiral gasket (127)
from the body (1).
8. Clean all parts that have been removed
and the inside of the valve body (seating
surfaces of the gaskets) and check them
to ensure that they are free from dam-
age.
9. Insert a new spiral gasket (127) into the
body (1) in the seat bridge area.
10. Place seat (4) onto the spiral gasket
(127) in the body (1).
11. Guide seat retainer (124) into the body
(1) and position it onto the seat (4).
Align the windows of the seat retainer
(124) symmetrically with the pipeline ax-
is.
12. Place a new spiral gasket (126) onto the
seat retainer (124).
13. Insert a new spiral gasket (17) into the
body (1).
14. Place valve bonnet (2) including yoke
(60), plug (5) and plug stem (5.1) verti-
cally onto the body (1). On doing so,
guide the plug (5) through the seat re-
tainer (124).
Version with V-port plug: place the valve
bonnet (2) onto the body, making sure
that the largest V-shaped port of the
V-port plug faces toward the valve outlet.

15. Press plug (5) rmly into the seat (4),
while fastening down the valve bonnet
(2) with the body nuts (14). Tighten the
body nuts (14) gradually in a crisscross
pattern. Observe tightening torques.
b) Version with screwed-in seat
and plug
Risk of control valve damage due to incor-
rect servicing or conversion.
You can replace the spiral gasket (17 and
126, if applicable) yourself used to seal the
body in all valve sizes of the valve version
with screwed-in seat and plug.
You can replace the spiral gasket (127) your-
self used to seal the seat in the valve version
(NPS3 and 4) with screwed-in seat and
plug.
Î Contact our after-sales service to replace
the spiral gasket (127) on the seat in the
valve version (NPS6 and 8) with
screwed-in seat and plug.
1. Standard and HT packing: loosen
threaded bushing (8).
LLF20 packing: continue as described in
step 2.
2. Undo the body nuts (14) gradually in a
crisscross pattern.
3. Valve versions without anti-rotation x-
ture: ensure that the stem connector nut
(9) is still fastened tight to the plug stem
(5.1).
