Servicing and conversion
9. Loosely place the valve bonnet (2) over
the plug stem (5.1) onto the body (1).
10. Press plug (5) rmly into the seat (4),
while fastening down the valve bonnet
(2) with the body nuts (14). Tighten the
body nuts (14) gradually in a crisscross
pattern. Observe tightening torques.
11. Carefully slide the packing parts over the
plug stem (5.1) into the packing chamber
using a suitable tool. Make sure to ob-
serve the proper order (see Fig.9-4,
Fig.9-5 or Fig.9-6).
12. LLF20 packing: insert packing follower
(8).
Standard and HT packing: screw in
threaded bushing (8).
13. Place yoke (60) on the valve bonnet (2)
and fasten using the castellated nut (92).
14. LLF20 packing:
− Place packing gland (162) over the
studs (164) on the valve body (2) on-
to the packing follower (8).
− Screw the two spring loading assem-
blies (163) onto the studs (164) and
guide them through the holes on the
packing gland.
Standard and HT packing: continue as
described in step15.
15. Adjust the packing (see information un-
der 'Adjusting the packing' in the 'Instal-
lation' section > 'Testing the installed
valve' > 'Leak test').
16. Loosely screw lock nut (10) and stem
connector nut (9) onto the plug stem
(5.1).
Valve version with anti-rotation xture
7. Continue as described in steps 7 to 15 of
the previously described procedure
‘Valve version without anti-rotation x-
ture’ on page9-22.
8. Apply a thin lm of lubricant (114) to the
threads of the stem (9) and screws (303).
Impaired functioning due to incorrectly
applied lubricant.
Î Do not apply any lubricant to the threads
of the clamps (301) or the plug stem.
9. Position the clamps (301) and stem (9)
on the plug stem according to the
'Mounting dimensions' table in the 'In-
stallation' section (under 'Mounting the
external anti-rotation xture') and tighten
screws (303) and washers (304) by
hand.
e) Installing the (screwed-in)
seat and plug
Risk of control valve damage due to incor-
rect servicing or conversion.
Î Do not attempt to install the seat and
plug yourself in the valve version (NPS6
and 8) with screwed-in seat and plug.
Î Contact our after-sales service.
1. Clean the inside of the valve body (seat-
ing surfaces of the gaskets) and check it
to ensure that it is free from damage.
