Refrigerant collection
Collecting refrigerant (to a refrigerant container)
You cannot collect the entire refrigerant in the system at once during pump down operation. Therefore you must collect
additional refrigerant into the empty refrigerant container prior to pump down operation.
1. Connect a refrigerant container to an outdoor unit as shown in the illustration and operate about 50% of the indoor units
in cooling mode.
2. When the pressure on the high pressure side is over 2.94 Mpa, decrease the number of operating indoor unit.
3. Open the manifold gauge (that is connected to the liquid side service valve) and the valve on the refrigerant container to
collect refrigerant.

• Refrigerant must be collected prior to pump down operation.
• Make sure that amount of collecting refrigerant does not exceed capacity of the refrigerant container.
• Refer to service manual for detail instruction.
