allocatedtoothersystemresourcessuchasthe
BIOS,PCIDevice,andVGAforaPCtooperate
normally.Therefore,evenif4GBofphysicalmemory
isinstalled,theaddressspaceallocatedtomemory
islimitedtoapproximately3GB.
Althoughuserscanupgradetheirmemoryto3or
4GB,only3GBisrecognizedevenwhen4GBof
memoryisinstalled,andamemoryupgradeto4GB
