Initializing and Reconguring the TPM
Chip
If you have to re-register as a user due to a hard disk
drive fault, you can initialize the authentication information
saved on the TPM chip and recongure it.
When initializing a TPM chip, all authentication
information saved on the TPM chip is deleted.
Before initialization, decrypt all encrypted les. If you do
not decrypt the les, you will not be able to access the
encrypted les after initialization.
Initializing a TPM Chip

Prior to initialization, delete the specied folder
according to the following procedures.
z Select the Start > Computer > Conguration
> Folder and Search Options > View tab and
then select the Hidden les and folders option
of the Hidden les and folders item.
x Select Start > Computer and double-click Drive
C:.
c Double-click the Program Data folder and delete
the Inneon folder.

Restart the system and press the <F2> key several
times when the Samsung logo appears.

When the BIOS screen appears, press the → key to
move to the Security menu. Then press the ↓ key to
move to the TPM Support item and set it to Enable.

Press the → key to move to the TPM State, press
the ↓ key to move to the Change TPM State item,
and press <Enter>.

Press the ↓ key to move to the Clear item, and press
<Enter>.

Press the <F10> key. When the Setup
Conrmation window appears, select Yes and
press <Enter>.

Restart the system and select Execute in the
Physical Presence Operations. At this time, to
cancel the initialization, select Reject.

Press the <F10> key. When the Setup
Conrmation window appears, select Yes and
press <Enter>.
