Initializing and Reconguring the TPM
Chip
If you have to re-register as a user due to a hard disk
drive fault, you can initialize the authentication information
saved on the TPM chip and recongure it.
When initializing a TPM chip, all authentication
information saved on the TPM chip is deleted.
Before initialization, decrypt all encrypted les. If you do
not decrypt the les, you will not be able to access the
encrypted les after initialization.
Initializing a TPM Chip

Prior to initialization, delete the specied folder
according to the following procedures.
z Select the Start > Computer > Conguration
> Folder and Search Options > View tab and
then select the Hidden les and folders option
of the Hidden les and folders item.
x Select Start > Computer and double-click Drive
C:.
c Double-click the Program Data folder and delete
the Inneon folder.

Restart the system and press the <F2> key several
times when the Samsung logo appears.

When the BIOS screen appears, press the → key to
move to the Security menu. Then press the ↓ key to
move to the TPM Support item and set it to Enable.

Press the → key to move to the TPM State, press
the ↓ key to move to the Change TPM State item,
and press <Enter>.

Press the ↓ key to move to the Clear item, and press
<Enter>.

Press the <F10> key. When the Setup
Conrmation window appears, select Yes and
press <Enter>.

Restart the system and select Execute in the
Physical Presence Operations. At this time, to
cancel the initialization, select Reject.

Press the <F10> key. When the Setup
Conrmation window appears, select Yes and
press <Enter>.
