- Care and Cleaning:
- Painted Parts & Decorative Trim: Clean with a cloth, hot, soapy water. For difficult residue, apply liquid detergent, leave for 30-60 minutes, then wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Stainless Steel Surfaces: Use Stainless Steel Appliance Cleaner or Polish with a damp cloth, rubbing with the grain. Dry and buff with a clean cloth. Avoid steel-wool pads.
- Oven Racks: If left in the oven during self-cleaning, they may darken. After cooling, rub sides with wax paper or a small amount of oil to help them glide. Gliding racks can be hand-cleaned with abrasive cleaner or steel wool, avoiding slides. Graphite lubricant can be ordered for slides if needed.
- Self-Cleaning Cycle: Uses high temperatures to burn off grease and residue. Requires removal of all accessories (racks, broil pan, divider) and wiping up heavy debris before starting. The oven door locks automatically during the cycle.
- Hybrid Clean: A chemical and odor-free cleaning function that saves time and energy, removing leftover grease and residue with steam. Requires filling the water reservoir. The oven door locks during the cycle.
- Descale Function: Recommended for regular use of Steam Bake/Roast to remove mineral deposits from the oven. Requires specific descaling agents and involves a rinsing cycle.
- Draining Function: Drains remaining water from the steam generator to the water reservoir after steam functions to prevent affecting other cooking modes.
- Removing/Replacing Oven Doors: Detailed instructions are provided for safe removal and reinstallation of the oven door, which is heavy and requires care.
- Changing Oven Light: Instructions for replacing the 40-watt halogen bulb, which involves tilting down the broil heater and removing the glass cover. Requires disconnecting electrical power before changing the bulb.
