Types of Signal Tone
The types of signal tone used in this telephone system are described in the following table.

al tone A steady tone that indicates
you can begin dialling.
Ring back
tone
Indicates the station you
dialled is ringing.
Busy tone Indicates the station you
dialled is busy.
Transfer tone Indicates your call is being
held and you can dial
another station.
Confirmation

Very short beeps that
indicate you have correctly
set or cancelled a system
feature.
