The screen keeps
switching on and off.
Check that the cable between the product
and the PC is connected correctly.
No Signal is
displayed on the
screen.
Check that products (including source
device) are connected correctly with a cable.
Check that the source device connected to
the product is powered on.
Depending on the type of external device,
the screen may not display properly. In this
case, connect it with the HDMI Hot Plug
function turned On.
Not Optimum Mode
is displayed.
This message is displayed when a signal
from the graphics card exceeds the product’s
maximum resolution and frequency.
Refer to the Standard Signal Mode Table
and set the maximum resolution and
frequency according to the product
specifications.
The images on
the screen look
distorted.
Check the cable connection to the product.
The screen appears
unstable and shaky.
Check that the resolution and frequency of
the PC and graphics card are set within a
range compatible with the product. Then,
change the screen settings if required by
referring to ‘Preset Timing Modes’.

Place the product with the face down on top of the protective cloth or cushion.
Insert the bar into a slot on the product and then turn to fasten.
* Touching and holding on the screen when the product is turned on displays the administrator menu.
* If the touchscreen control is not available, use the remote control to go to SystemTouch ControlTouch Control and select On from
the OSD menu. And go to Device to Control and select Samsung SMART Signage or Auto.
* If the administrator menu is not displayed, use the remote control to go to SystemTouch ControlAdmin Menu Lock and select Off
from the OSD menu.

Function Description

The Samsung QB13R and QB13R-T are display devices designed for various applications, including digital signage. The QB13R-T model specifically includes touch functionality, enabling interactive experiences. These displays are intended for use up to 16 hours per day; exceeding this duration may void the warranty. They support HDMI connectivity for high-definition multimedia input and can be integrated into a larger network via LAN for management and content delivery.

Usage Features

Initial Setup:

  • STAND-BAR Installation: To install the stand-bar, place the product face down on a protective cloth or cushion. Insert the bar into the designated slot on the product and then turn it to fasten securely.
  • Component Check: Upon unboxing, verify that all components are present: Quick Setup Guide, Warranty card (if applicable), Power cord, Batteries (AAA x 2, if applicable), Remote Control, AC/DC adapter, RS232C adapter, and STAND-BAR x 2. The QB13R-T model also includes a TOUCH OUT cable. Contact the vendor if any components are missing.

Connectivity:

  • Power: Connect the AC/DC adapter to the DC14V port on the display. The display operates on AC100-240V~50/60Hz, with the specific DC voltage for the product indicated on its label.
  • PC Connection:
    • HDMI: Connect a PC to the display using an HDMI cable or HDMI-DVI cable via the HDMI IN port.
    • Touch (QB13R-T only): For touch functionality, connect the PC to the display using the TOUCH OUT cable.
  • Video Device Connection: Connect various video devices to the display using HDMI cables via the HDMI IN ports.

  • USB Device Connection: Connect a USB memory device to the USB port. The USB ports support a maximum constant current of 1.0A; exceeding this limit may cause the ports to malfunction.

Basic Operation:

  • Remote Control: The remote control operates by pointing it at the remote sensor on the front of the product. Pressing a button performs the corresponding function. Be aware that using other display devices in the same space might inadvertently control them.
  • Power Button: The power button turns the product on or off.
  • Administrator Menu (QB13R-T only):
    • The administrator menu can be accessed by touching and holding on the screen when the product is turned on.
    • If touchscreen control is unavailable, use the remote control to navigate to SystemTouch ControlTouch Control and select On. Then, go to Device to Control and select Samsung SMART Signage or Auto.
    • If the administrator menu is not displayed, use the remote control to go to SystemTouch ControlAdmin Menu Lock and select Off.

  • Electrical Safety:
    • AC Adapter: Only use the AC adapter provided by Samsung. Do not use the power cord with other products.

    • Heat Sources: Position the product away from heat sources like radiators or other heat-producing devices.
