Forming part of the SRD series of Digital Video Recorders (DVRs),

the SRD-1630 range provides users with an general purpose 16

channel recording solution that has been designed to perfectly

match the functionality and budget requirements for a host of

professional security applications. Providing real-time live view

and higher selectable recording rates across all channels, users

are able to record at higher frame rates than the entry-level

SRD-1610 range; up to 240/200 (NTSC/PAL) fps at CIF resolution,

120/100 fps at 2-CIF resolution and 60/50 fps at 4-CIF resolution.

Besides its flexible recording capacity, like all SRD series DVRs the

SRD-1630 range utilises Samsung’s high level H.264 compression

to ensure superb quality, whilst minimising hard drive space and

bandwidth requirements. Options include a built-in DVD drive (SRD-

1630D) and coaxial control compatibility (SRD-1630DC).

  If the image quality of the recording data on your Samsung DVR isn't satisfactory, try increasing the resolution and quality level in Menu – Record – Quality / Resolution. Select a bigger size when specifying the recording size (4CIF>2CIF>CIF). Specify a bigger level for the recording quality. Keep in mind that increasing resolution and recording quality will increase the data size, filling the HDD faster and overwriting existing data sooner.

To manually record, press the [REC] button on the front panel of the DVR or on the remote control. To schedule recording, specify a desired time in Menu – Record - Recording Schedule. There are different recording options: Continuous (recording proceeds in any conditions at the specified time), Event (recording performs only if the event is of alarm, motion detection and video loss), Continuous / Event (if there is no event found, continuous recording will perform. If an event occurs, event recording will perform).
